Center for Responsive Schools

Center for Responsive Schools, based in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, is the organization behind Responsive Classroom, an evidence-based approach to teaching and discipline, and Fly Five, a K–12 curriculum focused on the learning behaviors and communication skills students need to engage in class. Their work is about bringing hope and joy to educators and students. Working with colleagues at Gecko Designs, I helped develop the identity: a mark built from two curved, interlocking forms that come together as a "C." The system is shown on business cards, posters, building and hanging signage, a set of stamp-style applications that includes a 40th-anniversary mark, and a website celebrating 40 years.
