Case Study

The Green Room

The Green Room is an identity concept I developed with colleagues at Gecko Designs as a proposal for a locally owned business in Missoula, Montana. The client went another direction, but I liked the work too much to shelve it, so I renamed it and carried it through as a full identity. The circular emblem shows a sprouting seedling with its roots exposed, set between the letters G and R beneath a small star, and it's paired with the line "Locally grown, locally owned." The mark comes in a few forms (a full lockup, a round badge, and a shield), and I've shown it on caps, hoodies, T-shirts, beanies, stickers, a mug, matchbooks, a lighter, and packaging.
